my cats murdered me pepper plants this winter
had to move em inside coz frost....cats decided that made them litterboxes....

Still jealous of your pepper plants. Every year I’ve tried, they still either wither or just fail to produce, even if they flower.

My wife ordered chiltepin seeds this year, but they still haven’t come in. I have a feeling that we’ll just find some wild ones while we’re in the Valley next month.

Really? How do you star t them, where do you plant then ? Do they get enough light ? Do they occasionally get watered in dry periods when they slouch?
I plant from one inch plant from the nursery. I grow them in planters with very good gravel drainage, and I give then the occasional Mirical Grow food. If bugs e et too many holes, I sometimes use some Ortho spray to get then off the leave.
wW hen you say withering, the first thing I think is that they are overwatered.

I started some seeds once from a university test program. They grew well, but the fruit was boring. Can’t win them I guess.

You have to curse at Jalapeños if you want them to be spicy .
